    Program

    Supporting one or more FY18 critical projects within the Cloud program and/ or other operational activities like:

    • Cloudyn implementation
    • New Azure capabilities (like Azure policies, ASG’s and Global VNET Peering)
    • Setting up Azure ‘as a product’ (processes/ RBAC/ tooling/ reporting) suitable for delivery to clients.
    • OMS (extension)

     Primary Purpose and Goal

    The Azure engineer is reporting to the involved Cloud Central project lead and the project manager and is responsible for the delivery and support of (one of the) projects in relation to:

    • (Assist in) designing, implementing, supporting and testing new Azure functionality/ applications
    • Technical and admin support with external technical teams and outsourced provider
    • Identification and realization of automation/cost containment opportunities through analysis of stead-state activities and automate repeatable tasks and activities where possible

     Responsibilities and Tasks

    Work across projects as Cloud /Azure subject matter expert; work on projects to deploy, tune and configure Cloud and application components
    Provide detailed guidance on tuning applications and optimize performance and supportability.
    Responsible for a secure compliant operational steady state and ensure high quality continuously available Managed Services.
    Responsible to lead and provide in-depth problem analysis, troubleshooting skills and coordination and deliver resolution as a 2nd, 3rd level subject matter technical specialist.
    Engage other expert Azure resources as needed.
    Responsible to work and coordinate with vendors and outsourcing partners, ensuring that work is delivered on-time, secure and with the right quality and aligned to our clients Standards
    Act as a promoter and guardian of Global Standards and standard infrastructure services and solutions

     Working Environment

    Reporting: Involved Cloud Central Project Lead(s) and involved Cloud Central Project Manager(s).
    Location: Mostly Amstelveen supporting the Project team (Amstelveen/ Sofia/ Calcutta & Montvale)
    Travel: Might be needed in case of workshops/ teaming with other teams.
    Duration: Up to end-of-September 2018
    Effort: Full-time equivalent (36-40 hours a week max.)
    Holidays: Please report nearing (=before 1/10/2018) holidays in advance.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
    • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and multi-vendor environment in a multi-discipline team in multiple country locations with sound knowledge in building effective working relationships.
    • Experience with deploying and supporting large scale infrastructures and applications
    • Documented understanding of ITIL processes, SLA’s and KPI’s, cost of service and Risk and security
    • Coordination and (some) project management skill in order to coordinate team tasks and has understanding of full project cycle to support deployment projects.
    • In depth 5+ years Microsoft (300/400 level) or working experience or working knowledge or knowledge of
    • Microsoft Azure Foundation (Subscription, Network, Compute, Features).
    • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, APP gateway and other PaaS services
    • PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow and troubleshooting PowerShell.
    • Creation, management and troubleshooting of ARM JSON templates
    • Knowledge of OMS, Application insights and continuous integration trough VSTS
    • Knowledge of operation management, systems security, testing, databases and mobility considerations.
    • Experience with provisioning cloud service environment.
    • Knowledge of IT security risks in the Cloud.
    • Understanding of technology architecture in an enterprise environment.
    • Network components/protocols
    • Experience with Linux
    • Knowledge of Privileged Account Management

     Education / Academics

    • Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field
    • Professional IT Qualifications in related products (MCSE, MCP, CCIE …)
